History

In October 2009, the GreenTeam was found by a couple of experienced alumni of the well known Rennteam Uni Stuttgart. The aim was both to develop a formula student race car, powered solely by a electric motor and the successful participation in the newly created formula student electric competitions.

 

The base of the realization of the first electric race car, developed by the GreenTeam, has been the F0711-3, which is the world champion race car of 2008 by Rennteam. The tubular spaceframe has been optimized and the four-cylinder engine has been replaced by a electric motor. The main focus in the development of the first vehicle was the optimal integration of the electric motor, it's control and a optimum battery management.
